Ask Father Faith: November 14, 2011

Do you get nervous when celebrating the Mass?
--Tayona, 8th grade, St. Andrew Catholic School, Orlando

All the time!  But I am not sure that I would call it “nervousness.”  It is awesome to know that the Lord Jesus is using all priests to make his presence known especially through the Sacraments.  Every priest has to be aware that he is leading God’s people in celebrating the sacred mysteries and this is something that all of us should never take granted or think of as “routine.”

This week’s question was answered by the Very Reverend Robert Webster, Director of the Office of Liturgy for the Diocese of Orlando.
